The Team

Montessori Directress and Co-manager – Tamsyn		Co-manager – Kerrie
Tamsyn is the Owner and Co-manager of Tam’s House. She is a trained Montessori Directress who has 24 years of experience working with children in different settings. Tamsyn grew up abroad and was not only educated in different countries but also able to work with different cultures. She returned to the UK and began the process of setting up Tam’s House in 2005.		Kerrie is the Co-Manager of Tam’s House. Kerrie has been working at Tam’s House since 2013. Kerrie has a Level 4 in Early Years Education and would love to own her own nursery one day. She is a bubbly character who enjoys getting involved with the children. She is renowned for her costumes and theatrical make up, dressing up is always fun at the nursery when Kerrie is around!
Khadiza		Natalie
Khadiza has recently joined the Tam’s House team as a Part-Time Nursery Assistant and is currently completing her apprenticeship while working towards her Level 3 qualification in Childcare. Since joining, Khadiza has quickly become a great support for the team, and her warm, caring nature helps create a happy, engaging environment for the children each day. Recently engaged, Khadiza also has many exciting plans ahead as she prepares for her upcoming wedding.		Natalie is the Room Leader of the Loft Room, our infant/toddler room. She has been working at Tam’s House since 2016 and has a Level 3 in Early Years Education. Natalie has an amazing understanding of young children and is our baby whisperer! She is very family orientated and close to both her family and friends. When she is not organising gatherings, she’s often helping our our families at the nursery.
Franchesca		Lora
Franchesca has recently join the Tam’s House team and is a key worker in our Den Room. She holds a Level 3 as an Early Years Educator and has 17 years experience working with children. Franchesca always has a smile on her face which makes for a fun, warm, and exciting environment for the children to learn in.		Lora is Deputy Room Leader in the Loft Room. She has been working in childcare for 17 years and has a Level 4 in Early Years Education.Lora not only grew up in Stokey but has worked and raised her own family here too… she knows everyone! A dedicated mother and loyal friend, Lora brings a real sense of community to the nursery.
Aniqa		Shakilah
Aniqa is our new Keyworker in the Den Room. She is a very experienced Early Years Educator with a Level 3 in Childcare Education who has lived in Stokey all her life. Full of creative ideas, the children gravitated to her from the moment she walked through the door. The team too have shown a real interest, particularly when describing the sweet treats she bakes at home!		Shakilah has recently been promoted to Key Worker in the Loft Room. She has successfully completed her BA (Hons) in Early Years at the University of Greenwich. Warm and bubbly, Shakilah brings so much love and laughter to both the Den and the Loft Room, creating a positive and nurturing environment for the children in her care. It quickly became clear that she was ready to step confidently into the role of Key Worker. Outside of nursery, Shakilah enjoys spending quality time with her family, whom she often speaks about with great love and pride.
Claudine		Nursery Dog – Gus
Claudine, our chef, has over 30 years of culinary experience. French-trained, Claudine began her career in Montreal before travelling to work in Cape Cod, Seattle, Toronto and New York, eventually settling in London. Alongside working at Tam’s House, Claudine also supplies local businesses with her famously delicious pastries and quiches. Claudine has a UK Level 2 in Food and Hygiene.		Gus is our nursery pet. He is a cocker spaniel who has been working with children since 2016. Gus plays in the garden with the children and enjoys eating carrots.

We have robust recruitment and vetting processes in place for our staff. We are all fully qualified and hold current Paediatric First Aid certificates. Our key person system works effectively to establish positive relationships with both child and parent. Your key person will maintain your child’s records and write their daily diaries.
